(SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME, RENEWABLE ENERGY RESEARCH CENTRE, RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)
BASED IN SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR


Responsibilities

*    Ensure the accurate, timely and successful completion of assigned technical consultancy reports.
*    Participate actively and ensure the accurate, timely and successful completion of tasks required in the implementation of specific R&D projects.
*    Publish in refereed journals and/or present in conferences, symposia and seminars.
*    Provide support in skill training, seminars and workshops to industry and Government agencies
*    Acquire competency in specified areas.
*    Adopt best practices in technology and safety.
*    Systematically document all services work and assigned consultancy tasks.
*    Liaise and maintain business relationship with clients.
*    Be responsive and accept coaching/guidance by other researchers to develop knowledge and skill in key technology areas.
*    Participate in networking with R&D organisations for mutually beneficial relationships.
*    Operate and maintain specific facilities/equipment according to ISO Guide 25 and ISO 9001 guidelines and implement OSHE programs.
*    To undertake any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

*    Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with postgraduate or professional qualifications will have an added advantage.
*    Must be registered with the Board of Engineers (BOE) Malaysia.
*    Possess minimum 1 year working experience in R&D or relevant experience
*    Knowledgeable in the relevant field of Solar and Wind Energy Technology
*    Demonstrate ability in analytical thinking and problem solving
*    Must be able to conduct R & D with minimal guidance
*    Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
